Hyallo - Browser phone calling

What does it do?
Hyallo lets you call any phone number in the world, mobile or landline, straight from your web browser. There's no app to install, no SIM card, and the person you call doesn't need an app or an internet connection. You open the site, type the number and talk, at low per-minute rates.

Who is it for?
People who live far from home, like expats, immigrants and international students, who need to call family or deal with things back home. That includes banks, government offices, clinics and insurers, most of which won't take a WhatsApp message and only answer the phone. It's also for travellers and anyone who needs to call a business in another country without paying high carrier roaming or international rates. I built it for myself as a Brazilian living in the Netherlands after Skype shut down, then opened it to everyone.

How does it make money?
It's prepaid and pay-as-you-go. Users buy call credit through Stripe, and each call uses credit at a per-minute rate for the destination. The profit is the margin between that rate and what our telecom carrier charges per minute. There are no subscriptions. New users get a free first call to try it. Teams can share one credit balance that the owner tops up for everyone.
